Debi is our Office Manager. She is a Certified Optometric Assistant as well as a Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant and has been a part of our team since July 2011.
Debi oversees the day to day operations of the office which includes staff scheduling, all bookkeeping duties, OHIP submissions/reconciliations, payroll, and accounts receivable/payable.
Together with the dispensary team Debi meets regularly with frame reps to ensure that our office has the latest styles and fashion trends in eyewear.
Debi also provides back up in all other areas of the office when needed including pretesting, OCT and retinal photography and assisting patients with frame selection and ordering.
Aggie has been with us since 2012 and is one of the first faces you’ll see here as our Intake Coordinator. She is a Certified Optometric Assistant as well as a Certified Medical Office Assistant.
Aggie will prepare you for your eye exam with a few simple questions and tests. She will guide you through the office with a smile and relay all your questions and concerns to the Doctor. Aggie is fluent in Low-German and acts as translator for our German speaking patients.
Aggie is also able to assist patients in the dispensary with frame selection and dispensing.
Sue joined the practice in 2012 and is a Certified Optometric Assistant and also has a diploma in Interior Design. She works mainly in the dispensary assisting patients in choosing the most appropriate frames and lenses for their needs. She places the orders with the lab and checks each one before dispensing to the patient.
Sue is a key player in our inventory management team meeting with reps from eyewear companies to select the most up-to-date and fashionable frames. She enters all our frames into inventory and places new and exciting frame styles in our dispensary each week.
Sue is our OCT and Retinal Photography technician which provides additional information on patient eye health for the doctors.
Claire has been a member of our dispensary team since early 2017. She joined our team with over 11 years’ experience in customer service and has worked extremely hard this past year to earn her diploma as a Certified Optometric Assistant.
Claire is a very skilled dispenser and is able to adjust and repair your frames, help you pick the lens that works best for you, as well as assist in choosing a frame. She enjoys assisting patients in selecting the perfect pair of glasses that are both fashionable and comfortable. Claire also assists the doctors in taking photos of patients’ eyes using OCT technology.
As part of the inventory team, Claire is responsible for receiving our orders of frames and keeping the frame room up to date in the latest trends for our patients.
Kelly, a registered nurse at TDMH for 35 years, joined the practice in 2012 on part-time basis. She is a Certified Optometric Assistant and is part of our pre-testing team and assists us where ever and whenever we need her!
Along with continuing her education working towards her BA in Psychology, she is also a BCLS-HSFO Instructor and keeps the staff and doctors up-to-date in CPR.
When you enter or call our office you will be greeted by Denise our Front Desk Coordinator. She is a Certified Optometric Assistant and also has a diploma in Interior Design.
Denise is skilled in scheduling patient appointments whether for an annual visit or on an urgent basis. She organizes the front desk reception area and prepares all our patient files as well as friendly reminder calls to patients for their upcoming appointments and so much more.
Denise looks forward to continuing to grow with the office needs.
Gina recently joined our Front Desk team in December 2017 part time and we were excited to welcome her aboard on a full-time basis in January.
She is an honours graduate from Westervelt college from the Medical Secretarial Program. She brings over 15 years’ experience working in a medical office environment.
Gina will be part of our Front Desk team and will be happy to assist you with your appointment booking needs. She is fluent in Greek and will be starting her studies in the Fall to become a Certified Optometric Assistant.
Rebecca has been on board at the office since late 2017.
She has over 10 years of Customer Service and Sales experience.
With a passion for learning, Rebecca has earned her Diploma in Administrative Assistance in 2015 and most recently earned her Certificate in Fitness and Nutrition in 2017.
She will be working toward becoming a Certified Optometric Assistant this year.
As a member of our dispensary team, Rebecca enjoys helping patients pick the perfect frame for them, helping decide on what lens will best suit their needs, as well as help measure for lenses.
Rebecca also does one-on-one contact lens training with patients who are first time wearers and is also responsible for contact lens ordering for the office.
You can usually find Rebecca in the office adding some style and decorations to our frame room, as well as adding some of her own photography and regular updates to our office’s social media pages.
Brianne joined our team in September 2018. She comes to us with 17 years of Customer Service experience and is well-known in the community from working at Coward’s Pharmacy.
She loves to assist patients and enjoys seeing familiar faces. You can find Brianne in the Dispensary assisting patients with finding a suitable frame and measuring for lenses. She is also skilled in fitting and repairing frames. Brianne assists with ordering contact lenses for patients, as well as assisting with one-on-one contact lens training.
Brianne has a passion for reading, Disney songs, and always has a smile on her face to welcome you into the office.
She is looking forward to working toward becoming a Certified Optometric Assistant later this year. We are very happy to have Brianne on our team!
