Dr. Jenny Chang was born in Taiwan but raised in Waterloo. She studied human physiology at McGill University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then graduated on the Dean’s Honours List as a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2019.
Her interest in optometry sparked with her research on increasing the effectiveness of drug-delivering eyedrops with Frank Gu Research Group. With a background in research, she plans on staying up to date with the newest and upcoming optometric technologies.
Jenny had the privilege of receiving advanced training in the treatment and management of ocular disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Centre in Lexington, Kentucky. She gained valuable experience in management of diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Jenny prides herself in thorough patient education and enjoys practicing full scope optometry. She strives to learn every day and to use her knowledge to advocate for patients’ eye-health; and is excited to do this for the Tillsonburg community. When not working, Jenny enjoys spending time with family, travelling, and her passion – salsa dancing!
